What is a LSV/NEV?
A LSV (low speed vehicle) also reffered to as a NEV (neighborhool electric vehicle). The name may differ depending on the state you live in but both names are interchangeable.
What's the difference between a LSV and a regular golf cart?
- LSV's are manufactureed with a higher speed limit, allowing to travel to a max speed of 25 mph.
- Greater safety standards that include seat belts for all passengers and a backup camera.
- LSV models meet SAE J2358 industry standards and FMVSS 500 Federal standards.
- Vehicle weight of under 3,000 lbs.
- VIN number assigned to vehicle at time of production.
Where can I drive a LSV?
- Any public road with speed limits of 35 mph or less (unless there are local restrictions - be sure to check your local laws).
